In the past, Ferrari models bearing the “XX” designation were developed exclusively for uncompromising track use. With the Ferrari SF90 XX Spider, however, Maranello opens a new chapter: for the first time, an open-top hybrid supercar combines the radical performance of a GT race car with the thrill of open-air driving – all with full road homologation. NOVITEC, the world’s leading refinement specialist for the thoroughbreds from Italy’s legendary automotive manufactory, now elevates this limited-edition special model to an even more extreme level of performance. For the production 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine, rated at 587 kW / 797 hp, NOVITEC has developed a thermally insulated high-performance exhaust system, available in various versions, in combination with metal sport catalysts. This setup extracts an additional approximately 30 horsepower from the combustion engine. In conjunction with the three unchanged electric motors, the system output increases to around 780 kW / 1,060 hp. The result is breathtaking acceleration paired with the intensified sound character of an optimized V8 – an experience made even more emotional with the retractable hardtop lowered. The aerodynamics remain in production specification, with the exception of NOVITEC exposed-carbon mirror covers. The visual appearance is further enhanced by high-tech forged wheels developed in cooperation with Vossen. Staggered wheel diameters on the front and rear axles emphasize the wedge-shaped silhouette of the Spider and underline its dynamic presence. Specially calibrated NOVITEC sport springs are tailored to this wheel and tire combination, optimizing both stance and handling characteristics. Upon request, NOVITEC also refines the cockpit of the SF90 XX Spider in virtually unlimited variations – from exclusive leather and Alcantara appointments to fully bespoke color and material combinations, transforming the open-top high-performance supercar into a truly tailor-made masterpiece.
