Novitec Ferrari Roma Spider

More than half a century has passed since the debut of the Ferrari 365 GTS4before the Italian manufacturer again added a front-engine sports car with a soft top to the range – the Roma Spider. NOVITEC, the world’s leading refinement specialist for the brand from Maranello, now offers an exclusive customization range for this roadster. The sporty and elegant looks of the drop-top two-seater are made even more thrilling with tailor-made naked-carbon components and high-tech forged wheels with diameters of up to 22 inches. NOVITEC also unleashes even greater dynamic performance from the twin-turbo V8 Biturbo with engine tuning in several stages delivering an increase in output by up to 61.8 kW / 84 hp. Accordingly, the upgraded Roma Spider then produces a peak output of 704 horsepower and a peak torque of 882 Nm, resulting in a sprint time from rest to 100 km/h of just 3.2 seconds and a top speed of over 325 km/h. NOVITEC also fulfills the most unusual wishes regarding the cockpit design by customer request.  To give the Roma Spider an even more extraordinary appearance, the NOVITEC designers developed a sporty and elegant body kit, whose components are produced from naked carbon and finished with a high-gloss sealer. The German refinement specialist enhances the front fascia with three tailor-made upgrades. They include the NOVITEC front lip spoiler, which reduces front-axle lift at high speeds and thus further optimizes the handling stability. In addition, the carbon front grill and the carbon trim below the headlamps give the front-engine sports car an even more striking face. The covers for the exterior mirrors, and the rocker panels, which lend the Spider a lower and sleeker visual stance, are made from the same high-tech compound. They are also part of theNOVITEC design package. The rear end can be enhanced with a lip spoiler, trim elements above the four tail lights, and a naked-carbon diffuser. The matching complement is the addition of the four matte black NOVITEC tailpipes to the production exhaust system. The tailpipes are integrated into the NOVITEC diffuser by means of precise-fit wire mesh inserts.

The thrilling looks of the refined Roma with soft top also include attractive wheels, of course. In this field NOVITEC cooperates with the innovative US manufacturer Vossen, which specializes in the production of high-end alloy wheels using state-of-the-art forging and CNC machining technology. This makes it possible to produce the wheels to individual customer specifications in a myriad of colors and with different surface finishes. The NF 11 wheels with five pairs of spokes mounted on the Roma Spider pictured here are a new addition to the NOVITEC range. The spokes run all the way to the outer edge of the rim, while the hub caps feature a center-lock look. In order to emphasize the wedge shape of the sports car, NOVITEC chose wheels nine inches wide and 21 inches in diameter at the front and wheels of size 12Jx22 for the rear axle. They carry high-performance tires of sizes 255/30 ZR 21 and 315/25 ZR 22 as the optimal option for this combination. The NOVITEC sports springs, which lower the ride height of the open-top Roma by about 35 millimeters, are perfectly tuned work with these exclusive wheels. These springs are also available in combination with a front-lift system for vehicles ex-factory equipped with the MagneRide suspension. This allows raising the nose of the Spider by 40 millimeters at the touch of a button to navigate ramps in underground parking garages, or speed bumps. The vehicle reverts to the standard level manually by pressing the button a second time or automatically upon reaching a speed of 80 km/h. Of course, NOVITEC offers more than simply sportier looks and further refined handling for the drop-top front-engine Ferrari. The tuner’s engine specialists get even more driving fun out of the 3.9-liter twin-turbo V8 with three different performance kits. These performance upgrades were designed to unleash the reserves of the eight-cylinder without impairing the durability. In addition, the engine responds even more crisply to gas pedal commands and also further gains in pulling power. All tuning variants use a NOVITEC N-TRONIC module, which introduces custom-programmed maps for injection, boost pressure and ignition into the electronic engine control unit of the Ferrari. The maximum stage, which includes the installation of 100-cell sports metal catalysts sheathed in efficient thermal insulation, produces a jump in output by 61.8 kW / 84 hp. With 518 kW / 704 hp at 7,400 rpm and a peak torque of 882 Nm at a low 3,750 rpm the NOVITEC-tuned Roma Spider does away with the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in a mere 3.2 seconds. The top speed increases to over 325 km/h. NOVITEC will even fulfill the most unusual wishes when it comes to the interior design as well. A huge selection of the finest leathers and Alcantara in a virtually endless variety of colors is available for this purpose.
